Gold plated jewellery is the term for any piece of jewellery that has a layer of gold bonded to a base metal. It’s created by dipping the metal into a special chemical solution, before cleverly adhering gold ions directly onto the metal shape.

One should be aware that gold plating fades over time so its best to follow our product care guide to ensure the maximum use of our pieces.

Can i swim with jewellery?

This is one of our many asked questions and the answer is yes! However, you should note that if you intend to swim in pools where chlorine is present this tends to tarnish faster.

Body lotions, perfume, hand sanitizer, sweat and other harsh chemicals have the same effect on the gold plating.

How do i store my pieces?

Its important that our pieces are stored in the given pouch upon purchase to avoid scratches. You should also store them in a dark and dry place.


How do i clean my jewellery?

When cleaning stainless steel jewellery, pour warm water in a bowl and add mild dishwashing Soap. Use a soft, lint-free cloth and dip in water. Gently wipe away any dirt from the piece. Remove any remaining soap from the piece of jewellery and dry with a clean towel.
